ABOUT DAVID J. SOBEL

Experienced Counsel

David Sobel has been peer rated AV Preeminent by his peers for ethical standards from 2017-2024 by the prestigious Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ and has been selected as a Rising Star by Superlawyers in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, a recognition reserved for only 2.5% of lawyers in the State of Florida.  He is known within the legal community as a fearless litigator who is both meticulous in his preparation and persistent in his pursuits for his clients.

David Sobel was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved to South Florida with his family to attend high school. Mr. Sobel achieved great academic success, graduating with highest honors as the valedictorian of the American Heritage School, Boca/Delray. Following high school, Mr. Sobel attended the University of Miami, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in History. Mr. Sobel later attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he again graduated cum laude, earning his Juris Doctorate degree.

During law school, Mr. Sobel was invited to join the prestigious Moot Court Honor Society. Mr. Sobel competed in the prestigious National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition held at Pace University Law School where he was selected the “Best Oralist” during the third round of competition.

Mr. Sobel is a former Assistant Public Defender for the 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County where he zealously represented indigent clients on a variety of criminal charges and at all levels of the criminal process, including first appearances, arraignments, plea negotiations, first and final violations of probation, pre-trial motions, trial, and sentencing.
